Tasik Raban Resort at Lake Raban is managed by the local district government. The word 'resort' here is a misnomer and not a resort that you would typically expect. There is no swimming pool, there is a cafeteria that only opens if there are enough guests and gets very quiet at night. During the weekdays, except holidays, you may be lucky to get the whole place to yourself - there's nobody!
This is a great place to stay if you are searching for a serene and quiet setting, best on weekdays. Accommodation comprises of small bungalows or chalets with rates ranging from RM110 (USD34) to RM200 (USD62). The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with air-conditioning. Facilities include a children's playground and there's a small jetty for fishing and launching boats.
