Once you arrive at the entrance of KL Tower, take the escalator to the upper ground floor. This is the main public area of KL Tower, and for the elevator to the top where the observation deck and Angkasa Revolving Restaurant are located. If you don't see any reason to pay to go to the top, this is as far as you will ever get in KL Tower.
Look at the ceiling in the main lobby of the upper ground floor, and you'll notice the sparkling crystal glass domes. The domes were designed in the form of Muqarnas (corbels unique to Islamic architecture) by craftsmen from the city of Isfahan in Iran. Walk around the floor and you will find several pricey shops, restaurants and cafes.
