Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Revolving Restaurant at KL Tower

One floor above the observation deck of KL Tower is the Angkasa Revolving Restaurant. At a height of 282 metres (925 feet) and completing a turn every 90 minutes, you can feast yourself at the restaurant while enjoying a view of Kuala Lumpur. There is more to see from the revolving restaurant during the day unless its raining or cloudy. I prefer the view at night when you can see the lights shining across the city.

There is an all you can eat buffet for lunch (weekdays), brunch (weekends and public holidays), high tea and dinner as well as an ala carte menu. Whether the buffet or ala carte menu, there are choices of Malaysian and Western dishes. I give a thumbs up for the food here but it's pricey (by Malaysian standards) with buffet lunch at RM60 (USD19) and dinner at RM135 (USD42). Then again you are paying for the view.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Eating Out in Bukit Bintang

There are plenty of places for eating out in Bukit Bintang. Though an upscale area of Kuala Lumpur, there are no shortages of medium priced restaurants and cafes as well as eateries offering cheap eats. McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut have also invaded Bukit Bintang. There is just about a place to eat every few steps that you take including inside the shopping malls.

Many of the fine dining restaurants here are in the 5-star hotels including the JW Marriot, Ritz Carlton, Parkroyal and Westin. Then there are the sidewalk cafes and a number of small local eateries including Malay, Chinese and Indian establishments serving inexpensive meals. Along one corner are several Middle Eastern and Turkish restaurants popular with visitors from the region.
