Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Subang Airport

Subang Skypark but often called Subang Airport is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, about 16 km (10 miles) from the city centre. It is the smallest of the three airports near Kuala Lumpur (after KLIA and KLIA2) and the only passengers airlines using the airport are turboprop airplanes. The airport serves short haul flights within Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

The main airlines at Subang Airport are Firefly, Malindo Air and Berjaya Air. Facilities at the airport include a few shops, restaurants, money changer and banks. The most convenient way to get in and out of the airport is to take the taxi. Public transport buses stop at the airport and the KL City Airport Shuttle travels between Titiwangsa Station in Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - KLIA2, Terminal for Low-Cost Airlines

Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) is the low-cost terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). KLIA2 is located about 50 km (31 miles) south of Kuala Lumpur and 2 km (a mile) from KLIA. The main carrier at KLIA2 is Air Asia and its sister airlines including Air Asia X. Other low-cost airlines here include Tiger Air, Cebu Pacific, Lion Air and Malindo Air.

The KLIA Express and KLIA Transit trains link KLIA2 with KLIA in a journey that takes just 3 minutes. The trains then head to Kuala Lumpur's transportation hub at KL Sentral. If you prefer a taxi, remember to purchase a taxi coupon before you board. Express buses offer the cheapest option to several destinations from the airport. There are also companies offering car rental services.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia's main international airport and hub for air travel between other destinations in the country. Malaysia Airlines is the main user of KLIA while Air Asia uses KLIA2, the airport for low-cost carriers. KLIA is well connected with many cities in Asia, Australasia and Europe but there are no direct flights between the American and African continents.

The airport is located about 50 km (31 miles) south of Kuala Lumpur. Arriving passengers taking the taxi from the airport should purchase a taxi coupon at the arrival hall. Another alternative is the KLIA Express (train) travelling between the airport and KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. The cheapest alternative are the buses departing to several locations in Kuala Lumpur.
